Check Out The Best Action Toys

Written by Strathy
Action toys open up worlds, perhaps I should say galaxies, of possibilities. Whether it is fighting the space villain, fighting the space hero, rescuing people in distress, or threatening the peace of the world, action toys cover it all. With today’s assortment, your child can choose to be the superhero or the super villain. Don’t read anything into the latter, psychologists say that choosing the villain is just as healthy as choosing the hero. In fact, most kids have a tendency to switch off between the positive and negative characters. How well rounded of them. Here are some of the best action toys out there.

We’ll start with The Iron Man Repulsor Power Figure by Hasbro (shown at left). This choice of action toys features two yellow missiles for its repulsor launcher. Iron Man’s boots emit take off and landing sounds. If you push the button on Iron Man’s chest, he will confirm who he is with the statement, I am Iron Man. The power Figure boasts upgraded armor and unbeatable battle technology loaded with missiles and repulsors. Iron Man comes with three AAA batteries. How’s that for power?

Our next action toy is by LEGO. It’s a thirty-inch Batman based on the Batman Begins character. It’s called the My Size Batman and it is an excellent reproduction of the smoldering anti-hero. The tall replica features a removable cape and the detail is done so well that it is very realistic. Kids think this is one of the coolest action toys, and so do collectors.

Spin and Kick Spiderman does just that. Spidey has long been one of the best selling action toys. This one comes with a barrel and boxes that will shatter under the spinning attack of Spiderman. Just wind up his leg and push a button and watch him do a spinning kick. Spin and Kick Spiderman comes to you from the folks at Hasbro action toys.

Transformers Optimus Prime vs. Ravage is a combination of two action toys. The set includes a robot mode Optimus Prime and a beast mode Ravage. Man, are these two ready to fight it out. They go at it with galactic technology and a range of special weapons. The two are going to set two different fighting styles against each other to determine who is the greatest of the action toys.

Okay, now we come to Indiana Jones with whip action. This twelve-inch action hero is based upon the most recent Indiana Jones movie. Just press the whip for sounds and action. Indy carries a pistol in his holster and a messenger bag for packing up all the treasure he can find. Indiana Jones is fully outfitted for adventure with a messenger bag, holster and removable gun, pants, shirt, boots, hat belt, and a sixteen-inch whip.

These are all very popular action toys that you can easily find online or in stores. Remember that action toys are products that elicit sheer imagination. They are a good choice for children and actually help them act out dramas in their imagination that help them cope in life. By the way, they are just plain fun, too.

Xbox 360 Error E 74 Fix

Written by Douglas Bernard

What to do if you need an Xbox 360 Error E 74 Fix? There are a few reasons as well as solutions to this problem. There are quite possibly two different reasons for your Xbox 360 Error E 74. It be a sign that your console's hard drive has over heated. Some causes to over heating could be over play or leaving your console to idle for extended periods of time. The other reason would be due to your power supply being defective. You should check your power supply to make sure it is powered on, working properly, not over heating and in a good working condition.

You might be able to fix the Xbox 360 Error E 74 yourself without having to call customer service. Some ways to fix an overheating problem could be to turn your console off for a couple of hours so it will be completely cooled. Another could be to unplug all cords and attachments to let each outlet "rest" for a while. You might even want to try restarting the console if at all possible. If you really don't want to schedule a fix with Microsoft you can refer to your manual that came with the Xbox.

Scheduling a fix with Microsoft is a time consuming but ultimately simple task to accomplish. You are somewhat in luck if you purchased insurance on your console or if it is still under the manufacturers warranty. If this is the case you can contact Microsoft and they will do two things. The first thing that the customer service center at Microsoft will have you do is, with them on the phone guiding you, run a quick diagnostic to see if the problem can be fixed then and there. If the home diagnostic does not work they will require that the Xbox be sent to them for repair. Microsoft will send you a box, with return shipping included, that you will ship your console back in.

From there it is a waiting game until the repairs needed on your console are completed, and the console is then shipped back to you. All in all, from initially calling the problem in, to having the console back in your posession, the process takes about a month. An Xbox 360 Error E 74 Fix is a simple, yet painful, thing to accomplish. And always remember to take good and proper care of your console.

Top 10 PC Games of 2009: A Year in Review

Written by Douglas Bernard

2009 has been a great year for many types of gamers, so for all those still trying to complete their collection here is a list of the top 10 PC games of 2009.

Dragon Age Origins
After the popular Mass Effect, Bioware couldn't wait to release their latest RPG. With a different story approach for every race and class, along with enough quests to rival any mmorpg, this game has delivered content-wise. Just Add in fairly real time combat, AI characters whose actions you can customize, and simple controls and you get a fun experience.

Borderlands
This first person shooter has already been considered to be an instant classic with its massive amount of items you can collect to better your character. With an attribute system somewhat reminiscent of RPG's, no two players will have characters that feel the same.

Street Fighter IV
2.5D may sound a bit odd, but it is the compromise between the glorious 2D games of yesteryear and the beautiful 3D gameplay of today. Gameplay has been altered to be more accessible to new players, though still as satisfying as always. The addition of online play brings back the arcade aspect without actually having to leave your home.

Empire Total War
An RTS with enough historical content to rival any history textbook, Empire Total War has provided enough gameplay online and offline for constant addiction. Real time ground and naval battles with close up characters make this RTS feel more personal and real.

Left For Dead 2
Improving on its predecessor, though without much change to its already proven formula, Left for Dead 2 expands its inventory of weapons and stages. More likable characters and gameplay modes have been added for a more fulfilling experience.

Batman Arkham Asylum
Comic book based video games don't usually have the quality needed to hold the harcore gamer's interest, but the dark and creepy storyline will keep most interested. The smooth combat controls, along with stealth segments and an interesting world to explore, make Batman stand out in a good way.

The Sims 3
The Sims improves itself yet again with new content and a more community oriented gameplay.

Burnout Paradise The Ultimate Box
PC Racing games don't usually get the recognition they deserve, but at least Burnout Paradise offers a vast world for you to drive around and destroy your cars in.

Plants VS Zombies
Popcap is known for their addictive games and this one is no different. It starts off a simple arcade style puzzle game but quickly ramps up into a quick tower-defense strategy game. Really a ton of value in this gem of a game.

The Secret of Monkey Island Special Edition
Monkey Island makes a great comeback with this remake of the 1995 adventure game. New visuals, great voice acting, and a helpful hint system make this game feel fresh again while still using the amazing and beloved original script.
