It was also in 1995 that the company received its first big break, when actress Alicia Silverstone made an appearance in a talk show hosted by David Letterman. She was wearing Hard Candy’s “Sky” nail polish. David Letterman noticed the unique shade and asked his guest about it. That simple question made the company an overnight sensation.
