The idea of an upside down Christmas tree may sound outrageous, but it is actually one of the hottest fads this Christmas season.  Though the idea sounds relatively new, hanging of trees upside down actually dates back to the Middle Ages, a time when it was done to represent the Holy Trinity.

In more recent times, the concept of an upside down Christmas tree was adapted by retailers for their store displays as it allows more Christmas ornaments to be seen at eye level.  At the same time, it allows more space underneath to hold gifts or decoration.

Upside down Christmas trees can come either pre-lit or bare.  It can also be hung from the ceiling, mounted on a wall, or placed on a stand.  There are tons of benefits of having an upside down Christmas tree in your home such as:
•    You can keep away Christmas ornaments from small children and from pets.
•    It is more practical as there is more floor space to accommodate more piles of gifts under the tree.  This is especially great for smaller spaces.
•    You will be able to view your Christmas ornaments more clearly since they will be hanging away from the branches instead of getting buried in the leaves.
•    It is a great conversation starter, especially when you have guests come over to your house.

Having an upside down Christmas tree in your home this Christmas will surely add more fun and excitement in celebrating the Christmas season!
