Battle Strikers is a customizable spinning top based game with a dexterity element that allows a player to control the spinning top.   Two players control their own spinning top during a heads up combat match.   The spinning top, otherwise known as a Striker, is controlled by a finger mounted device that allows a player control over the spinning top.   The last of the three main components of Battle Strikers is a hand held energizer.  The energizer has a docking bay for the Striker, a grip for the player’s hand and a trigger to charge and release the Striker.

To play, a player docks the Striker into the hand grip, energizes the Striker, and with careful aim, sets up the beginning sortie with the opponents Striker.  At the same moment, both players depress the trigger and watch initial collisions between the two spinning gladiators. Once the Strikers begin their collisions, the players can use the finger mounted control devices to alter the movement of their Striker and unleash devastating attacks.  The last Striker standing is declared the winner and a new match can begin.

To heighten the fun, the Battle Strikers game allows players to customize each Striker to their exact specifications in both performance and aesthetics.  Each Striker is composed of 6 individual components that lock together to create the ultimate combat machine.  Components include the Medallion, Core, Weapon, Armor, Tip and Lock.  By mixing the components, a player can alter his Striker’s focus between offensive, defensive and control.  There is no single configuration that will beat all others making Battle Strikers a game that will not grow old after a few plays.

In addition to the various Striker components altering the play of the match, each component comes with its own shape and color scheme.  The combination of the different components creates a unique image as the Striker swirls through the arena.   The game has a tendency to draw in onlookers as the battling tops slam into one another.

One key aspect of this game that sets it apart from previous iterations of the basic game design is that instead of sitting back and watching two tops bump into each other, players in this game are given the ability to actually influence the combat through control of their striker.   The finger mounted device allows the controller of a Striker to out maneuver his or her opponent while setting up for the ultimate attack.

Parents can sit back and relax as the game features no offensive images or concepts.  The game is created to be competitive without being detrimental to the player’s perception of the world.  Battle Strikers is a fun, clean game that features competition between two or more individuals as they control their Strikers through match after match.
