The brightest jewel of Chopard Manufacture, by far is Caroline Gruosi-Scheufele who describes her position there as co-president and art director. She describes herself as a creative person and enjoys her work as the designer of Chopard Jewelry and women’s watches. Mrs. Gruosi-Scheufele is a multi talented artist and the designer of the many Chopard jewelry lines. Caroline Gruosi-Scheufele is a rare and valuable asset to the 100% family owned company. She is also a valuable asset to her community and to the world community, as she assists many charities by donating key pieces of Chopard jewelry. From her tireless efforts to promote various charity functions, to her financing of a local program to hire clowns in hospital children’s wards, Caroline Gruosi-Scheufele cares deeply for many causes which relieve human suffering, and brighten the days of those in need. It is with her this story starts.

chopard necklaceMrs. Gruosi-Scheufele and her brother Karl-Friedrich Scheufele are co-CEO’s of Chopard Manufacture, which their father purchased in 1963. The purchase was made when the last remaining Chopard watch maker reached the age of 80 and had no heir, who was prepared to take the business. Since then the Chopard brand has grown geometrically. The Scheufle family had their roots in jewelry making and their father also had experience in watch making. Today Karl and Caroline share control of their family owned company. Caroline is the designer, and in charge of communications and promotions while Karl handles production, finance and marketing. Together they work extremely hard to insure the continuing tradition of the 150 year old company.

By day Mrs. Gruosi-Scheufele is very hard working and unpretentious. She starts her morning by feeding her four dogs, and quickly downing a cup of coffee. Within twenty minutes of rising she’s off to work. Her job is demanding but she finds it rewarding and enjoys creating some of the finest jewelry in the world. Karl also enjoys creating, and is a talented artist and painter. Together they manage the prestigious, 100% family owned Swiss watch and jewelry company.

By night Mrs. Gruosi-Sheufele associates with some of the most wealthy and powerful philanthropists and charity volunteers in the world. Caroline dresses in amazing designer fashions with deeply plunging necklines, adorns herself with her own Chopard jewelry and attends some of the most exciting charity fund raising events imaginable. She is often deeply involved in the planning of these events, and is a key figure in promoting them.

In 1997 Caroline Gruosi-Scheufele decided that she would like to represent Chopard by becoming involved in the Cannes Film Festival. A long time lover of cinema, Mrs. Grousi-Scheufele made an appointment with president of the Cannes Film Festival, Pierre Viot. She offered the services of her family’s company to assist in whatever way needed. She discovered that so far no other jewelers were involved with sponsoring the Cannes Film Festival. During her visit Mrs. Gruosi-Scheufele paused to admire the Golden Palm Award in Mr. Viot’s office. Mr. Viot expressed a desire to have the Golden Palm redesigned and updated. Mrs. Gruosi-Scheufele in her brief meeting with Mr. Viot arranged to redesign the Golden Palm and for Chopard to sponsor all the Jewelry for the Cannes Film Festival.

Every year since the meeting of Pierre Voit and Caroline Gruosi-Scheufele Chopard jewelry has sponsored the Cannes Film Festival and provided jewelry for all the lovely and important attendees to that festival. Each year the Scheufele family and their employees enjoy draping the various starlets in fabulous jewels artistically designed by Caroline Gruosi-Scheufele and her staff. The prestigious attendees to the Festival are frequently tempted to purchase from Chopard's many fine jewelry collections.

On May 18th 2010, as part of the 2010 Cannes Film Festival, Chopard celebrated their 150th anniversary. The anniversary Gala was attended by such celebrities as Marion Cotillard, Nicky Hilton, Lindsey Lohan, Paris Hilton, Eva Herzigova, and Myleene Klass. It was a glorious celebration of jewelry, watches, and film. Both the Cannes film festival and Chopard jewelry and watches have a rich and elegant history, so it was fitting that the celebration was so lavish. Countless beautiful starlets dressed in the finest of designer gowns, and draped with elegant Chopard Jewelry gathered to celebrate the long history of precision Swiss watch making.

OMG, have you just discovered a chocolate stain on your carpet?  Sure, it’s happened to most of us.  Most people love to indulge in the eating of chocolate however from time to time bit of chocolate end up on the floor.  It doesn’t exactly help if you have kids in your household who make a mess and then keep quite about it.  So the chocolate stain could have been there for quite sometime.

Oh well, there’s not much point in crying about it, instead you just need to take action so that you can get rid of the problem.  The quicker you can clean it off the easier it’s going to be however the problem might be so bad that you’d be better off phoning up a local carpet cleaning service so that they can do the cleaning up for you.  You might even see it as an opportunity to have all of your carpets professionally cleaned so they look brand new again.

Anyway, if you want to tackle the job yourself you will first of all need to get rid of as much of the chocolate as you can with something like a butter knife.  Just make sure you are very gentle with the carpeting because you don’t want it getting damaged whilst you hack away at it with a carving knife!

Now you need to know what kind of carpeting you have.  Carpets can be made from a variety of different materials these days including natural and manmade.  Natural fibers can include wool, sisal, jute, coir and seagrass.  Man made fibers could be polypropylene or polyamide.  A lot of carpets these days can also be a mixture of both natural and man made fibres in order to give you the best of both properties.

When it comes to cleaning a carpet you have to be extra cautious with natural carpets.  This is perhaps one of the main reasons you would want to contact the best carpet cleaning service in your area.  They will know exactly what type of carpet you have and therefore what treatment is needed for eradicating that chocolate stain.

Natural carpeting should never be cleaned with a liquid stain remover.  This is because natural fibers absorb liquids and it will cause them to become damaged.  You don’t even want to use water on natural fibers if you can help it.  Instead you need to look for a dry cleaning solvent.  Some brands include Host, Chem-Dry and Capture.

If you have a man mad fibre carpet then you can use basically any carpet cleaner that says it’s suitable for the purpose and follow the instruction.  Popular brands include Oxi-Clean, Vax and Hoover.

Whenever you are treating stains on your carpeting it’s a very good idea to do a patch test.  It might be that you have bought the wrong product and it ends up damaging the carpet.  So test it in an area (such as behind a house plant or item of furniture) because if it causes damage to your carpet it won’t really be visible.  If you find that it’s not working as well as you would’ve liked then you really need to contact a carpet cleaning service who can do the job properly.

Remember, carpets don’t come cheap and you don’t want to ruin yours by tackling a job such as a chocolate stain only to find out you’ve ruined your carpet.  You would then have to live with it looking a mess or spend a lot of money having a new carpet installed.  So be careful.

When I think about replacing the carpet in my house; Carpet Remnants may not be the first idea that crosses my mind but when I slow down a minute and think about the money I can save my wallet gets a little happier. The first thing that you need to underastand is that there is nothing at all wrong with any of the floor coverings sold in the warehouses all across the country every day. Simply put these remnants are what's left over from large and medium sized jobs.

The quality that you buy and the texture as well as the colors are limited only by your wallet and imagination. That and the size of the job that you need to have done. Sometimes there will be enough of one type to do fairly large jobs while at other times if you are wanting to recarpet your entire house; you may want to think about the possibility of using different styles of floor coverings for the different types of jobs that they will be doing. Another great thing about using Carpet Remnants is the fact that the inventory is continually changing so if you don't see something that floats your boat the first time around if you aren't constrained by time come by again and something just might catch your eye.

Remnants are also a great idea if you are looking to just change a room or two. When this is your aim your possibilities could become almost endless. Something that I have learned through the years and most carpet salesmen will share with you is the fact that when it comes to carpet one of the most important factors is the quality of padding that you put down. You can buy the most expensive carpet on the market but if you don't back it up with the correct padding; it's life span will be greatly diminished.

Most places that you buy carpet remnants will share this fact with you and should be able to either supply the padding you need or put you in contact with someone that can. When you are shopping for floor coverings you need to remember that many of the suppliers that handle carpet remnants, handle remnants of many other types of floor coverings as well. Everything from plush carpets to indoor/outdoor to linoleum, and even squares. So the next time you are in the market for floor coverings think first of Carpet Remnants, then contact one of the many distributors around the country and come in and check them out. Who knows you may even save some money.
