Today, there are innumerable causes of air pollution, and unfortunately they are all human causes. An example of human-caused air pollution would be factories and cars. Green living helps in cutting down air pollution, and hopefully there will be more people and businesses that decide to go green in the near future. Though there are a lot of people who hear the term green living and understand what it is, not everyone can afford to convert their way of living. However, even if we can manage to cut back half of the causes of air pollution, that will greatly help the environment.
Green living does not have to be a difficult switch to make. Simply walking or riding a bicycle instead of driving a car when an individual is not going to be going very far helps cut down on air pollution. Carpooling, while not completely eliminating the amount of noxious fumes released into the air, is beneficial as well as taking public transportation. While it may seem like a drastic change, it really is not, and in the long run, it will help out the environment just a little bit more. As everyone knows, even a little bit of assistance is better than nothing at all.
Paper production and semi-truck driving are two major causes of air pollution. Instead of purchasing new notebooks or printing paper, if people were to buy recycled paper, they would be assisting in cutting down the level of pollution in the air- paper is created in massive factories that expel large amounts of pollutants, whereas recycled paper can even be created at home if people were to take the time and learn how. Unfortunately, it would take a drastic change for semi-trucks to stop polluting the air. The causes of air pollution are adverse to humans and animals as well as the environment. Green living can help cut down on the amount of pollutants in the air, if only enough people could be convinced to switch to green living.
People do not even have to be environmentally conscious to benefit from living green. Solar power helps cut down on electricity bills for one. People will find themselves to be more healthy if they walked around town more often than they drive, and they will ultimately be more happy and long-lived. It is not necessary to be rich in order to start living green, for beginnings are small and inexpensive, though not inconsequential. If several thousand more people were able to start living green, that would eliminate countless causes of air pollution. Green living and eliminating the causes of air pollution go hand in hand, and if more people were able to see the benefits this would have on the world, the environment would begin to stabilize once more.
Even if people do not want to be known as environmentally friendly, all they have to do is look around and see the changes that have taken place in the world, especially the weather patterns and how the animals are behaving. If more people do not become environmentally friendly and start living green, the world will only undergo more drastic changes, which is extremely detrimental to all of its inhabitants.
