Don’t you just envy those sexy models strutting down the runway and confidently showing their fit bodies? You could have wished that you have those same slim figures that will perfectly suit any outfit as well as give you the confidence to wear those skimpy bikinis on the beach. There are many types of diets which allegedly can make anyone reduce weight, BMI or any forms of measurement targeted to classify one’s state of body. But nothing can beat losing weight the natural way. This is where green tea can be of help. It is said that green tea and weight loss plus exercise can benefit the body by inducing weight loss.

Green tea which is regarded as one if not the most popular beverage in the world has been patronized by the Chinese people because of its so called health benefits. That is why green tea and weight loss go hand in hand towards the promotion of one’s well being because researches found that green tea lowers cholesterol level by improving ratio of high density lipoprotein to low density lipoprotein cholesterol. Improved ratio of these two important body cholesterols can benefit the heart as well as help the body to easily burn fat. Moreover, an evidence of the relationship between green tea and weight loss can be associated with the French paradox. The French are known to maintain their slim figure despite consuming a diet rich in fat. Researchers who have been puzzled with this have attributed the phenomenon to how the French consume red wine which is rich in the polyphenol resveratrol. The effect of the polyphenols called catechins in green tea is similar if not superior to the effects of resveratrol and thus, consuming green tea can be helpful in losing weight.

If this is the case, how much of green tea should one consume in a day? Experts have varied advice on the right amount of green tea recommended for daily consumption but it has been suggested that one to three cups are enough to reap the benefits that the tea can give. Generally speaking, a 100 g of tea leaves have 21.7 g of protein content, 11.2g of dietary fiber, 258g phosphorus, 18.4 mg of iron, 6.8 mg of niacin and 7.4g of water. You can absolutely do well for your body when you try green tea for weight loss. Aside from burning fat, you can also sip a healthy traditional drink and bring relaxation to the body.

If you are a man that is looking to lose weight fast you need to understand that the majority of men simply go about it the wrong way.  If you've been trying to lose weight in the past you are probably guilty of making common mistakes too.  There are loads of reasons you might want to lose weight fast, perhaps you have a wedding or vacation coming up and you want to look your very best.  Anyhow, here are some useful tips for you to follow:-

Make sure you eat and don't starve yourself.  Sure, you could probably lose a load of weight very fast by doing this but all too often it's only going to make you lose muscle and water weight rather than fat.  When dieting and exercising to lose weight it's fat that you want to get rid of - not muscle!  So make sure you eat at regular intervals.  Small meals 5 times a day is much better than 2 huge meals a day.  Also avoid eating before going to bed.  People who stop doing this bad habit really notice a big difference by eating their evening meal at 5 or 6 pm rather than 10 or 11.

The food you eat is obviously going to be a big factor in losing weight.  You want to get rid of the junk foods such as pizza and burgers because they are full of simple carbs and fat.  Instead you want to be eating fruit and veg plus brown rice, chicken and fish.  There have also been studies to show that eating soup makes you feel full for longer and those who eat soup find themselves eating less overall than those who don't eat soup.

A lot of people think that all types of fat is really bad and that fat makes you fat.  This is simply not true.  Our bodies need fat in order to function properly.  Good fats include olive oil, fish oil, walnuts, avocados and sunflower seeds.  Of course, if you ate too much good fat then it would cause you to put on weight but you would have to eat an awful lot of it!

If you are the sort of person who drinks a lot of sodas, coffee and beer then you should try and cut back on these and drink water instead.  Our bodies need about 2 litres of water for hydration and also to metabolize food into energy.  You can also try to drink teas such as green tea, redbush in addition to fruit teas.  They simply give you a bit more variety.

Most people also have constipation to some degree or other.  If you aren't doing a "number 2" at least once a day then you really need to increase the amount of fiber in your diet.  It doesn't have to be difficult to do.  Brown rice, quinoa, baked beans along with nuts and seeds can really help flush you system out of this unwanted matter.  Apparently John Wayne had 40 pounds of waste in his colon whilst Elvis had 60 pounds!

Of course, don't forget to exercise.  You will want to build up your muscle levels because muscle burns up more calories than fat does.  Also, muscle simply looks great.  There are loads of different things you can do to exercise but lifting weights is perhaps the most popular.  If you don't want to lift weights you could go hill walking, swimming or cycling.

A lot of men who want to loose weight fast seem to think that there's a magic bullet they can take and suddenly all their flab will vanish.  It just doesn't work this way and ultimately losing weight is about eating healthier and exercising more.

Green tea and black tea are not much different as they come from the same plant. The difference lies in the method of treatment - black tea is allowed to ferment and is oxidized, while green tea isn't allowed to ferment as much. Depending on how green tea is processed (roasted or steamed) and where it is geographically, green tea could be partially fermented or not fermented at all.

Green tea retains much of its tannic acid content, compared to black tea, tannic acid, which decomposes to form more caffeine. This additional tannic acid in green tea has many features and significant health benefits such as:

* There is a lower amount of caffeine. Although there is some caffeine, the caffeine is still linked in a chain (continuous), and the caffeine is released at a rate much slower and milder in the body than either black tea or even coffee.

*  The effects of the tannic acid is said to be good on the health and can reduce the risk of cancer and inflammation, both appeasing and soothing the gastrointestinal system.

* There is more vitamin C in green tea, because of the fact that there is little or no fermentation. Vitamin C is easily destroyed during the fermentation process.

* There is more vitamin B and thiamine in green tea. This ensures that our brain cells do not lack energy, and also protects the nervous system against being over stimulated.

The various active substances in green tea have been attributed to produce various effects on the body, most of them good. The effective blend of green tea, vitamin C and flavonoids may help protect us against bacteria, viruses and fungi.

Green tea can also help diabetics as it slows down the processing of complex carbohydrates into sugar, thus keeping the sugar levels in the blood to a healthier level. However, it does not and can not help with refined sugars, which are found in sweets, cakes and chocolates. So if you are a diabetic, it makes plenty of sense to include green tea in your regular diet.

If you substitute green tea instead of drinking your coffee with milk and black tea with milk, then you can get rid of a lot of calories that you normally get from the milk and sugar. Since green tea is best drunk plain, there are very little calories in it, almost zero. This is in contrast to approximately 80 calories in coffee with milk and sugar.  It's no wonder that green tea along with herbal slimming tea is a popular way to lose weight.

Some simply hate the taste of green tea, and for these people, they can also derive the health benefits of green tea without drinking. This is made possible by the introduction of green tea pills that make the task of consuming green tea more manageable.  Of course, you should also try the green teas that have added flavours such as mint, apple and raspberry.
