All the American has to do is send the Nigerian the American's bank account information. Free cell phones, vacations and free laptops are often advertised by JavaScript flash ads. This deal sounds tempting. The average person wonders if he really can get a free laptop by answering a few simple questions.
Some of the free laptop ads make a person wonder if he can really get a free laptop. Consumers should be wary about clicking on these ads, because they might contain viruses or Trojans, although this is rare. The old adage about something being too good to be true applies to free laptop offers.
The free laptop advertisement usually takes you to a website that makes a visitor fill out a series of offers and enter his personal information. If a visitor agrees to enough offers, his name will be entered into a contest for a free laptop A person who fills out these surveys does not get the computer automatically. The ads exist to allow marketing companies to gain information about potential 
customers.
You can get a free laptop, but not by filling out these surveys. Most such free computers come from family members or friends who decide to upgrade their old PCs and pass them on to someone who can use the older computer. The Internet free laptop ads are the equivalent of a telemarketer calling an individual's home with news that he has won a contest. The telemarketer may enter the person on the other end into a contest where he has a chance to win what is being offered. The telemarketer's primary goal is to sell the person on the other end of the phone his employer's product.
A person can get a free laptop, but it is unlikely that a person can get one by responding to an ad on the Internet. A careful shopper may find low-cost laptops on the Internet if he searches on auction sites such as Ebay or online retailers such as Amazon.com. People who choose to fill out the forms may be able to find free travel guides, even if they do not win the laptop. It takes a long time to answer the single questions these surveys promise you need to answer. Technically, a visitor only needs to answer one question, but he must show interest in one ore more special offers.
